Dass dieser Tag immer auf einen Donnerstag f\u00e4llt, ist kein Zufall: Stets 39 Tage nach dem Ostersonntag bzw. am 40. Tag der Osterzeit wird im christlichen Glauben die R\u00fcckkehr Jesus Christus‘ zu seinem Vater im Himmel gefeiert. Der christliche und gesetzliche Feiertag ist im Volksmund auch als Vatertag<\/strong> bekannt. An diesem sch\u00f6nen Fr\u00fchlingstag stehen also die V\u00e4ter bzw. M\u00e4nner im Vordergrund.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Christi Himmelfahrt \u2013 ein christlicher und gesetzlicher Feiertag<\/h3>\n

Christi Himmelfahrt als christlicher Feiertag stellt in gewisser Weise die Vollendung der Auferstehung Christi dar. Zun\u00e4chst war das Fest mit Pfingsten verbunden. Seit dem vierten Jahrhundert kristallisierte es sich aber zu einem eigenst\u00e4ndigen Fest heraus. Bereits seit 1934 ist Christi Himmelfahrt in Deutschland ein gesetzlicher Feiertag.<\/p>\n

Herrentag \u2013 ein Tag mit Tradition<\/h3>\n

Der Tag ist \u00fcblicherweise mit Touren in geselliger Runde verbunden. Auch Ausfl\u00fcge mit der Familie k\u00f6nnen stattfinden. Die Riten an diesem M\u00e4nnertag haben ihren Ursprung in den Himmelfahrtsbr\u00e4uchen. Aus diesen entwickelten sich im 19. Jahrhundert die feucht-fr\u00f6hlichen \u201eHerrenpartien\u201c, auf die sich schlie\u00dflich der heutige Herrentag zur\u00fcckf\u00fchren l\u00e4sst.<\/p>\n

Erstmals wurde der Herrentag offiziell Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts in den USA zelebriert. In Deutschland soll der Herren- bzw. Vatertag durch einen findigen Herrenausstatter besonders bekannt geworden sein. Heute ist dieser Tag aus den festen Traditionen im Mai nicht mehr wegzudenken.<\/p>\n
